If I run the bamboo we trimmed from the backyard through the wood chipper, can I add it to my compost pile?

Or does it just not break down easily, regardless of its form?

Sure you can. Bamboo is just overgrown grass and will break down over time regardless. This is especially true if you compost it.

i see no reason why not, it is after all organic. even if it does take a while to rot down it can only help your soil structure by letting in air
